Συνεχίζεται ο συναγερμός σε πολλά μεγάλα σούπερ μάρκετ της Ευρώπης για τα δεκάδες ύποπτα για λιστερίωση προϊόντα που αποσύρονται τα ράφια των καταστημάτων, καθώς σήμερα προστέθηκαν άλλα έξι προϊόντα , αυξάνοντας το σύνολο σε 49 «ύποπτα» τρόφιμα έως αυτή τη στιγμή.
Ο ΕΦΕΤ την περασμένη Παρακευή ενημερώθηκε από την εταιρεία «LIDL HELLAS & ΣIA O.E.» σχετικά με την προληπτική ανάκληση μίγματος κατεψυγμένων λαχανικών, το οποίο ενδέχεται να περιέχει τον παθογόνο μικροοργανισμό Listeria monocytogenes.
Η λιστερίωση είναι μια σπάνια αλλά σοβαρή διατροφική ασθένεια που προκαλείται από το βακτήριο Listeria monocytogenes που μπορεί να είναι πιο σοβαρό για εκείνα τα άτομα που έχουν εξασθενήσει το ανοσοποιητικό σύστημα αλλά και τους ηλικιωμένους, τις έγκυες γυναίκες και τα βρέφη.
Σύμφωνα με την Ευρωπαϊκή Αρχή για την Ασφάλεια των Τροφίμων, από την εν λόγω ασθένεια έχουν χάσει τη ζωή τους 9 άτομα.
Στη λίστα των σούπερ μάρκετ που εμπλέκονται περιλαμβάνονται οι αλυσίδες Tesco, Lidl, Aldi, Sainsbury’s και Waitrose.
